1. What to Expect This 8-week burlesque course is a journey of self-expression, confidence, and creative power - expanded and deepened into a full troupe performance experience. - A rich exploration of burlesque history and its roots in rebellion, autonomy, and feminine power - Learning the art of striptease as an act of choice, confidence, and storytelling - Working with classic burlesque props including: -- Flowing organza boas -- Gloves and stockings -- Optional tassel twirling for those ready to explore it — always encouraged, never required - Developing your burlesque alter ego — a heightened, fearless version of you - Building embodied confidence through movement, presence, and play - Forming a burlesque sisterhood — a supportive collective where everyone is seen, held, and celebrated - Collaborating to devise a powerful group performance that reflects your shared creativity - Learning how to command the stage, connect with the audience, and fully own your moment All guided by multi award-winning burlesque artist Petit Pois, who will support and champion you every step of the way. 2. Level - Open Level / Beginner Friendly - Ages 18–100 - No dance or performance experience necessary - Suitable for all bodies, identities, and confidence levels - Progression is gradual, inclusive, and led at a pace that feels safe and empowering 3. What to Wear - Clothing that makes you feel comfortable, confident, and free to move - Leggings, fitted tops, gym wear — whatever supports your body best - Heels are optional; flats or barefoot are always welcome - Costume elements (gloves, stockings, heels, pasties) are introduced gently as the course progresses - Every choice is yours — consent, comfort, and autonomy are central 4. Cancellation Policy

Participation at Own Risk By attending classes, the student acknowledges that dance, floorwork, and fitness-based movement involve inherent risks including but not limited to muscle strain, falls, bruising, joint injury, and aggravation of pre-existing conditions. The student voluntarily assumes full responsibility for these risks. Medical & Physical Condition The student confirms they are physically fit to participate. If under medical care, pregnant, post-partum, or recovering from injury or surgery, the student must seek medical advice before attending. Participation without such advice is at their own risk. Physical Contact The student understands instructors may offer hands-on adjustments for alignment, balance, and safety. The student may decline physical contact at any time and must inform the instructor. Media Consent Photos or videos may be taken for promotional use (social media, website, marketing). Students consent unless they notify the instructor in writing before class. Recording Policy Students may not film or photograph classes without permission. This protects choreography and the privacy of other students. Bookings & Refunds Classes and courses are non-refundable but are transferable. If you are unable to attend a class or course you may attend a future one. The studio is not liable for cancellation due to events beyond its control (e.g., illness, venue issues, government restrictions). Alternative dates or credits may be offered at discretion. Dress and equipment Students are responsible for wearing appropriate clothing and footwear. The studio is not liable for injuries resulting from unsuitable attire (e.g., unstable heels, slippery lotions on skin, etc.). Personal property The studio is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal items, including costumes, phones, jewellery, or cash. Code of conduct/safe space Harassment, discrimination, bullying, or inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated. The studio reserves the right to remove any participant creating an unsafe or uncomfortable environment. By attending classes, the student agrees to release and hold harmless the studio, instructors, and venue from any claims arising from participation, except in cases of proven negligence.
